About
Mr Hamza has completed his specialist training in General and upper GI Surgery in the North East of England and was appointed to the post of Consultant Surgeon at the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) for research from the University of Manchester.
He specialises in Benign Upper GI, Bariatric, and Laparoscopic Surgery. The commonest procedures he performs are keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery to remove the gallbladder, hernia surgery, and bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
He has a special interest in oesophageal physiology studies and is responsible for the analysis and reporting at the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Personal interests – The majority of my time is devoted to my family, I enjoy travelling and union with my extended family. I enjoy reading especially books related to history.
