Miss Andreea Lupu

I am a fellowship trained consultant hand and wrist surgeon. I graduated from Dundee University and intercalated in anatomy and human biology at King’s College London.

I trained in orthopaedics in the North East and within the plastic surgery hand unit in Leeds during fellowship. I am experienced in hand trauma and was part of the Leeds Hand Transplant Team for over four years. I manage elective and traumatic hand and wrist conditions, and I am part of the general trauma on-call team.

I am the chairwoman of the UK Hand Registry and Clinical Audit Committee within the British Society of Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).

I set up the first hand and wrist Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel (ODEP) subgroup. 

I enjoy teaching and hold a medical education role with Sunderland University and Newcastle Medical school. 

I recently joined the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Training the Trainers Faculty.
